ABB has been elected to the Industrial Internet Consortium’s® (IIC™) Steering Committee. The IIC, as well as the “Industrie 4.0 platform” are global initiatives that contribute core elements to ABB’s concept of the Internet of Things, Services and People, and pave the way for paradigm shifts in many industries. ABB was involved in both initiatives from early on and joined the IIC in December 2014. Zurich, Switzerland, August 30, 2016 – Eric Harper, a senior principal scientist specializing in software architecture and sustainable technologies at ABB’s Corporate Research Center in the United States, will represent ABB in the IIC Steering Committee.
