Schaeffler and Porsche aim to continue successful series
Time:18 Sep,2016
Schaeffler and partner Porsche will return to Texas with good feelings: The sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship will take place on September 17 at the Circuit of the Americas.
One year ago, Porsche drivers Timo Bernhard/Brendon Hartley/Mark Webber all stood on top of the podium in Texas. And currently the trio are in first class form: The 2015 World Champions went unbeaten in their last two 6h races at the Nürburgring and in Mexico.
The second team of drivers have also given partners Porsche and Schaeffler lots to be happy about: Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb have already won two races this season, one of which was the 24h of Le Mans. They come to Texas as table leaders with a 41 point advantage. Meanwhile, Porsche have now extended their lead in the constructors’ standings to 43 points.
