Long oil change intervals and excellent wear protection for gear teeth and rolling bearings As the power rating of wind turbines is increasing, loads and temperatures acting within the confined space of the main gearbox are on the rise. Consequently, it is challenging for the gear oils used to attain service life, load and thermal resistance targets. Further critical issues are resistance to wear and micropitting as well as foam and residue formation.
